about
Hi, I’m Amy.
I’m a writer, spiritual director, children’s ministry leader, and maker of quiet, playful spaces where people can meet with God. I believe that children and adults both long for the same things: wonder, stillness, beauty, and a God who meets us right where we are.
And I believe children can be deeply contemplative. They know how to be present. They wonder freely. They’re not afraid of mystery. I’ve seen kids hold silence with reverence, respond to stories with sacred imagination, and discover God not just through words—but through color, movement, and play.
Whether through coloring pages, picture books, retreats, or spiritual direction, my work is all about helping people of all ages slow down, notice, and listen.
I serve as the Director of Children’s Ministries at Church of the Apostles in Connecticut, where I love creating sacred spaces for kids to wonder and worship. I’m also a trained spiritual director who walks alongside grownups longing for rest, renewal, and deeper connection with God.
my approach
Much of my work centers around contemplative practices—especially for those who feel weary or overstimulated, or who long for gentler ways to grow in faith. I create tools and spaces that help people return to themselves and to God through:
Coloring and journaling
Wonder-based storytelling (through picture books or Godly Play)
Creative retreats and sacred play
Quiet, attentive listening through spiritual direction
